From early on in my HR career I found myself working in HR change projects from a start up environment to culture change, downsizing, HR transformation.
I was fortunate to be in a large, well known, UK pharmacy when we introduced the HR business partner model. At that time the competition regulations in UK changed for pharmacies which meant huge business transformation too. The problem was we didn't consider the impact of people through the change.
In 2015, I spoke at the HR Network conference in Edinburgh, having just won the Best Companies Sunday Times Award. The company achieved this whilst transitioning from a traditional Service Level Agreement model to a value add service. Some learnings:
Innovative approaches to performance, wellbeing, development made a difference. I also shared at that time I saw a gap. The data showed traditional approaches to leadership development are no longer fit for purpose....
